APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2010
(DEADLINE IS NOT POSTMARKED)
APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED BETWEEN September 1, 2010 AND December 1, 2010.

Residency session: Sunday June 26 - Monday July 18, 2011

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW OUR GUIDELINES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Application is open to all professional visual artists from all over the world who have been professionally active for at least the past 3 years (your resume/CV should reflect professional activities since 2007 or earlier).

We do not accept applications from currently enrolled students: you must be out of school at the time of the application in order to be eligible. Please note: having studied art is NOT a requirement: we accept applications from self-taught professional artists.

IMPORTANT: We have instated an alternate year submission policy.
If you applied for the 2010 residency session and were not selected or wait listed (which was communicated to you in writing), you must wait a full year cycle before applying again. It means that you cannot apply this year for the 2011 session, but will be eligible again in December 2011 for the 2012 session.

The deadline for receiving (not postmarked) applications is Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
All applications must be mailed in in time to be received in our NYC office not later that this day. No exceptions.

CHECKING YOUR SUBMISSION BEFORE MAILING:
Many applications are disqualified every year because they are incomplete, and/or CD or DVD does not play in our computers. It is your responsibility to make sure your submission is in order and digital material works properly. Please mark your name on all documents, including the CD or DVD.

PACKAGING YOUR SUBMISSION:
A small number of applications are damaged every year as they are packaged so tightly that it is an arduous task for us to simply open it! Please do not over package your submission with: excessive layers of scotch tape, plastic folders or sleeves, binders or paper clips. A simple hard-plastic CD case in a padded envelope will be enough to secure your CD/DVD arrives safely. You may include two copies of your CD or DVD to make sure at least one arrives safely.

RETURN OF MATERIAL: We no longer return material. Please make sure to send us only copies, not original works.

NOTIFICATION: Due to high volume of submissions, we are unable to notify reception of application. You are welcome to add a self addressed stamped postcard for notification.
