Swimming occurs everyday (weather permitting) on site in an in-ground pool, enclosed in the backyard of Ledig House. There are no formal swim lessons, just open time where children can play in and out of the water as they wish. Two certified, experienced lifeguards are present at all times. Children are limited to the steps and shallow end of the pool (3ft.) marked by a floating rope. Artgarten staff join children in the water. Feel free to provide your child with any personal floating accessory (e.g. ‘swimmies’, vest) that they feel comfortable with. If your child is a NON-SWIMMER, he/she will join us at the pool where there will be other activities, including a ‘kiddie pool’ or sprinkler monitored by a counselor. Swimming and Aquatics procedures meet the New York State Department of Health Children’s Camp requirements and standards.
Cancellations made prior to June 15th are eligible for a full refund. After June 15th, a $100 cancellation fee per each child registered will apply.
This weekly drawing group offers time and space for individuals who wish to continue to hone their drawing skills in an independent environment. Participants work indoors in the light-filled Benenson Visitors Center and gallery or outdoors in the landscape of The Fields sculpture park.
A drop-in program every Saturday featuring teaching artists Rachael Kerner and Bryan Zimmerman.
