Visiting The Fields
The Fields are open year round to the public during daylight hours. The Golf Cart is seasonally available Spring through Fall for individuals requiring its use to navigate the sculpture park. Please call in advance to find out if it is available and to make a reservation. Bicycles are also provided from the Benenson Center, which is open from 9 AM - 5 PM year-round.
In the winter, groomed cross country ski trails are free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy picnic facilities located throughout the park. Guided tours are available to groups of six or more with a reservation. The Fields offers educational workshops and tours for school groups and other organizations as well as free public programs throughout the year.
Dress for walking and check current weather conditions before your visit!
The Fields presents sculptures and works of architecture situated on a natural landscape, and so there are no paved walking paths. We recommend that visitors come prepared with sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate attire to best enjoy the park.
Length of Visit: Plan at least one hour to visit sculptures in all six areas of the park. The path system here is circular so one can go in either direction. There are many sculptures that are tucked away in the woods.
Picnic Area and Bicycles: You may choose to view the park on one of our bicycles or on foot. Picnic tables and seating areas are located throughout the park for your enjoyment.
Tours and Public Programs: Free guided tours are available with reservation for groups of six or more as well as through our Docent Program. In addition, summer concerts, public readings, exhibitions and other special events are held throughout the year.
